Nuclear Reactors 184 - Anti-nuclear Groups Oppose Nuclear Support in EPA Clean Energy Plan

         The United States Environmental Protection Agency has been soliciting public comments for its proposed Clean Power Plan which is intended to reduce carbon emissions from power plants generating electricity. The Nuclear Information and Resource Service has been working to send thousands of public comments to the EPA that criticize the Plan.

         The International Energy Agency (IEA) has just issued a report that recommends that incentives be offered to support the construction of new nuclear reactors to assist European Union members in reducing their carbon emissions. Nuclear Weapon 110 - Problems at the Atomic Weapons Establishment in the United Kingdom

         The Ministry of Defense (MoD) in the United Kingdom has just order a review of the costs and construction schedule for an important facility intended to enrich uranium to weapons grade for Trident nuclear submarines. Project Pegasus is the name of the billion dollar project being built at the Atomic Weapons Establishment (AWE) in Berkshire.
