Nuclear Reactors 681 - Department of Energy Office of Nuclear Energy Awards 10.6 Million Dollars to Three Companies

       The U.D. Department of Energy (DoE) Just announced awards totaling ten million six hundred thousand dollars to three projects with the Office of Nuclear Energy’s (NE) funding opportunity announcement (FOA) U.S. Industry Opportunities for Advanced Nuclear Technology Development. This is the fourth round of funding through this particular FOA. There will also be a fifth round of funding through this FOA.

Radium Incorporated Has Just Patented A New Light Transparent Radiation Shielding Material.d

      Radium Incorporated is a private firm located in Waynesboro, Virginia. It is a technology company that “provides services and products that increase workers’ quality of work, safety and productivity in the nuclear power industry.” Radium Inc. has just announced that it has been issued a U.S Patent for a new type of transparent radiation shielding.
