       Transatomic Power is an American company that was founded in 2011 by two MIT alumni. The goal of Transatomic was the creation of the Waste Annihilating Molten Salt Reactor (WAMSR). Its purpose was to digest spent nuclear fuel. It was also designed to burn either thorium or uranium as fuel.
