Belgium's Federal Agency for Nuclear Control (AFCN) yesterday announced it had approved the restart of the Doel 3 and Tihange 2 nuclear power plant units. Hungary has confirmed the receipt of a letter from the European Commission that say the country failed to follow European Union rules when they hired Russian nuclear power conglomerate Rosatom to build two reactors in an expansion of the five-unit Paks nuclear power plant.
